‘Dementia Don’ Trending After Trump Makes Statement Sounding Like He’s Still in the White House

Play Article AudioRead
Throughout the Trump administration, we followed certain people on Twitter who would point to this symptom of dementia versus that. A group diagnosis even became fashionable, “frontotemporal demential” or “FTD” and yet the predictions that Trump would circle the drain far more rapidly never came to pass. This site watched his rally on Saturday night, and he sounded the same as back then, hard to understand but same as always.

And then, with the advent of the Biden presidency and seeing the Republicans jump right on the “dementia” thing and then manipulate video, it made this site a little less interested in Trump “dementia” because it was just too easy to manipulate and too difficult to tell what was real. Additionally, there are all those rumors about Trump using various pills that could impact his behavior.

A lot of people said that on Saturday night’s rally, Trump appeared to be “bombed” or “lit,” including some of the more reliable people on Twitter. We did note that Trump said that he had Zuckerberg for dinner at the White House. None of us were listening too closely and figured that Trump meant back when he was president. But apparently, Trump said that he had dinner with Zuckerberg at the White House “last week.” That’s likely just a slip of the tongue. It seems to us that Trump either had dinner with Zuckerberg back when he was president or dinner with Zuckerberg last week at Bedminster or in New York.

But Twitter has taken the mistake (and it’s probably just that, we’ve seen it with Biden) and are now running with “Dementia Don” trending. Perhaps it’s simply a retort to all the “addled” and “senile” comments about Biden.

#DementiaDon

If MAGA nation doesn’t care that he had top secret/confidential documents at Mar-a-Lago, with some folders actually being empty, they’re not going to care that he said Mark Zukerberg was kissing his ass at the White House.

Last week.

This is what a cult looks like. pic.twitter.com/GgyI07JuNI — Lisa Ericsson Murphy 🌊🌊TrumpViolatedEspionageAct (@lisakrstin) September 5, 2022

After watching excerpts of Trump’s rally speech last night, it’s clear that he’s either suffering from dementia or was high as a kite — or both.#DementiaDon — Jon Cooper (@joncoopertweets) September 4, 2022

Saddest part of Trump’s speech last night wasn’t that he believed he had dinner with Zuckerberg at the White House last week. It was that the audience believed he had dinner at the White House with Zuckerberg last week. So, who’s dumber? #DementiaDon — Dee (@DeeLeftMom) September 5, 2022

Trump always projects. When he says President Biden has dementia what he is ACTUALLY telling you is TRUMP has DEMENTIA! #DementiaDon https://t.co/Tc8qjDeAhr — katie straka (@SPN411) September 5, 2022

Nobody is more shocked that Mark Zuckerberg had lunch with Trump last week at the White House than Mark Zuckerberg. #DementiaDon — The Fascist’s Woobie (@BarrettsDad) September 5, 2022

This should be the top story on all of the news because Paw Paw is sundowning right in front of us #DementiaDon https://t.co/n8C74nm5Mv — Tara Dublin (@taradublinrocks) September 5, 2022

Since #DementiaDon is trending, we want to remind you we’ve been warning about Trump’s advancing dementia for years. And of course, it’s only gotten worse since then. https://t.co/kfi6oJP1Ez — Duty To Warn 🔉 (@duty2warn) September 5, 2022
